There are just three weeks left in the NFL’s regular season and the playoff picture is starting to take shape. Both the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers are separating themselves from the rest of the league as Super Bowl favorites. If the two division leaders do end up facing each other in Miami on February 2nd, one of them has significantly better odds.
The Baltimore Ravens are Super Bowl 54 favorites and they are away ahead of the next-closest team. Their odds (+225) are nearly twice as good as San Francisco (+450). They are also significantly better than the favorite at this time last year (New Orleans at +300). They are heavily favored because of two reasons: (1) they are arguably the only team that is truly elite on both offense and defense, and (2) their AFC rivals are seen as weaker than the 49ers’ NFC competition.
