Whether on not teams will visit the White House has become big news in recent years.  So after the Red Sox wrapped up their fourth World Series since 2004, the big question needed to be asked.

When it was asked, Manager Alex Cora and team Owner John Henry gave differing answers.  Cora answered the question by saying, “We’ll talk about it later on.”

John Henry seemed a little more confident that the Red Sox would be attending, if invited, via WEEI:

“We haven’t been invited.”

But when reminded that the invitation always comes he said, “I think we will. This is a special team. We’ll see what they want to do, but I think so.”

This could be the start of a big fall from the top of the MLB mountain for Boston.  Nothing divides like hot White House visit talk.
