After spending 14 years with the Colts, Pro Bowl receiver Reggie Wayne signed with the Patriots.  He received a $450,000 signing bonus when he signed.

Wayne’s time in New England lasted just two weeks.  He went to Bill Belichick and informed him that he just wasn’t into it anymore.

Despite receiving almost half a million dollars in the form of a signing bonus and spending just two weeks with the team, Bill Belichick didn’t make Wayne return the money.

$450,000 for just two weeks of work is a pretty good payday.  It’s the reason Wayne refers to his time with the Patriots as the “best job ever.”
