The Philadelphia Eagles are adding an extra year and $33 million to Lane Johnson’s contract, giving the All-Pro right tackle a pay bump and signing him through 2026, reports NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

The deal reportedly includes $30 million guaranteed.

The move will reduce Johnson’s 2023 cap number from $24.2 million to approximately $14.8 million, saving the Eagles around $9.4 million in cap space this year, according to Garafolo.

Jawaan Taylor, who signed a four-year, $80-million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, is the NFL’s highest-paid right tackle in average annual salary, according to Spotrac.

Johnson, a cornerstone of Philadelphia’s premier offensive line, has been one of football’s best right tackles when healthy. The 32-year-old, whom the Eagles drafted fourth overall in 2013, hasn’t allowed a sack in 967 pass block snaps played over the last two seasons, according to PFF.

The four-time Pro Bowler has made 127 regular-season starts since entering the league.
