The New England Patriots are planning to release longtime center David Andrews, sources toldĀ ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Andrews played in just four games during the 2024 campaign before sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury.
The 32-year-old played at least 94% of the team’s offensive snaps in his appearances from 2016-2023. He was named a team captain eight times.
Andrews has been with the Patriots since 2015 and has won two Super Bowls (LI and LIII) with the club. The 32-year-old has appeared in 124 games (121 starts) since going undrafted out of Georgia.
