The Phoenix Suns and 13-time All-Star forward Kevin Durant are targeting a March 1 road game against the Charlotte Hornets for his team debut, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Durant hasn’t played since Jan. 8 due to an MCL sprain. The Suns acquired him from the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 9 as part of a four-team trade involving the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks.

The 34-year-old is expected to add dynamic scoring to a Suns squad in the heat of the playoff race. Phoenix sits fifth in the Western Conference at 32-28 thanks to Chris Paul’s strong veteran presence and top scorers Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.

Durant averaged 29.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds in 39 contests before being traded to the Suns.
