The Free Agency QB sweepstakes is causing all kinds of deals being thrown around.
Robert Griffin III may be adding another team to his resume this offseason.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that the journeyman backup was an “intriguing name” currently being “discussed in trade talks as the league year nears open.”
His contract, Rapoport says, is “not guaranteed,” and characterized Griffin as “tradable.”
Griffin joined the Ravens back in 2018 and inked a two-year, $4 million contract extension in 2019 as Lamar Jackson’s backup. He carries a 2020 cap hit of $2.5 million and a dead cap hit of $500,000, according to Spotrac.
