The Rockies went into Wrigley Field on Tuesday and took care of the Cubs in a 13 inning battle.  They won the game 2-1 after getting a two out hit from Tony Wolters.

Wolters is the Rockies third catcher and hit just .170 during the regular season.  Before becoming the hero in Tuesday night’s game, his last hit came back on September 10th.

The backup catcher was in the game because of an extra inning double switch.  Rockies manager Bud Black looks like a genius for making this move after Wolters came through with the biggest hit of his life.

The stars didn’t do much in the biggest game of the season.  Someone had to play the role of hero, why not a guy like Wolters?
