Russell Wilson’s great start has now become a historic one, with the Seattle Seahawks quarterback setting an NFL record for touchdown passes through the first three games of the season.

Wilson scored his record-breaking 14th touchdown in game-winning fashion with a strike to DK Metcalf, which secured a victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Patrick Mahomes was the previous record holder with 13 touchdown passes to start the 2018 season.

Wilson has thrown for at least four touchdowns in each of his team’s first three games. He is also the only quarterback in NFL history to accomplish that feat, per NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano.

The 31-year-old’s play has put him in the early MVP discussion. Wilson has tossed 14 touchdowns and just one interception thus far.

The Seahawks have yet to lose this season, going 3-0 to start the year. Seattle will take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 4.
