The San Antonio Spurs parent company, Spurs Sports & Entertainment will sell its American Hockey League team to the owners of the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights, leaving San Antonio with one less professional sports franchise.

The Rampage will finish its 2019-20 AHL season in San Antonio and then move to Nevada.

This marks the second time SS&E has sold a team to a Las Vegas group. In 2017, the parent organization of the San Antonio Spurs sold its WNBA team to MGM Resorts International, which moved that team to Sin City.

Now some fans are speculating this is all part of the Spurs eventually relocating.
