Indianapolis Colts safety Shamarko Thomas was the first player to get ejected under the new league rules for a nasty hit on a Seattle Seahawks receiver. It was a no brainer ejection.
Thomas launched himself headfirst at a defenseless receiver’s upper body. Not only is this hit dangerous, it was completely unnecessary.

This is how CTE is spread. While there are going to be a lot of questionable calls this season in the NFL, due to the new league rules, this isn’t one of them.
I think we can all agree with this ejection. There are still ways to hit hard without using your head or taking off the head of your opponent.
