On Friday night Shareef O’Neal made it official, he’s following in the footsteps of his father, Shaquille, and playing at LSU next season.  The former Arizona commit, who went to UCLA following the wiretap scandal involving the Wildcats program, announced he would be transferring after only averaging a little over ten minutes a game for the Bruins in just 13 games played.

It’s been quite the journey to LSU for the younger O’Neal.  He was forced to take a medical redshirt his freshman year after doctors discovered he had a heart condition.  He underwent successful surgery and was cleared to play this season, but obviously didn’t like his role with UCLA.
