Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had Tommy John surgery and won’t be on the mound this season.  But he did make his return to the lineup last week.

The 2018 Rookie of the Year was just 4-for-21 with three RBIs entering action on Monday.  He went 2-for-3 with his first home run of the season.

The monster two-run home run put the Angels up by a run.  They went on to win the game 5-4.

You don’t need a mound ready UCL to hit monster homers.  Ohtani is just getting his legs under him.  Angels fans can expect more of this from their two way star.
