The Steelers would like to keep linebacker Bud Dupree in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future. They haven’t been able to reach an agreement on a long-term deal and placed the franchise tag on him prior to the beginning of free agency.
Dupree waited almost a month before signing the franchise tag worth about $15.8 million next season. Last year he recorded a career-high 11.5 sacks with 16 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.
