By now everyone knows Steelers running back James Conner’s story.  While at Pitt, he was diagnosed with cancer and following treatment was able to return to football.

Conner was drafted by the Steelers and got his opportunity to prove himself in the NFL last season when Le’Veon Bell sat out the entire season.

Conner rushed for 973 yards on 215 carries, had 55 catches for another 497 yards and found the end zone 12 times in his first year as a featured back in the NFL.

All of Conner’s accomplishments were very close to never happening.  He revealed just how close on a recent episode of rapper Mike Stud’s podcast.
