Oakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty returned to action on Tuesday night following the death of his mother.  In the A’s win over the Red Sox he hit a solo homer in his first at bat.  The A’s went on to win the game 5-3.

Piscotty’s mother Gretchen died on May 6 from ALS. He was traded to the A’s in the off-season to spend more time with his mother as her condition deteriorated.

If you’re Piscotty do you thank the A’s and request a trade back to a Major League team?  You don’t want your entire 2018 year to be miserable.
