Timberwolves forward Taj Gibson lost his shoe scoring a basket against the Kings on Monday night.  He picked up the shoe and attempted to play defense with it in his hand.

That includes a shot block attempt on Nemanja Bjelica with his shoe.  Bjelica tried to take advantage of the fact that Gibson was missing a shoe, but the 10-year NBA veteran had other ideas.

The Bjelica layup attempt was blocked, but not with Gibson’s shoe.

You have to respect Gibson’s attempt to turn his disadvantage into an advantage.  The Timberwolves didn’t need the shoe to beat the Kings and won the game easily 132-105.
