Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater spoke with reporters on Thursday via a remote press conference.  He talked about having to replace Cam Newton during the call.

Having to replace the best quarterback in franchise history is a position he is familiar with.  Bridgewater stepped in for an injured Drew Brees last season with the Saints and played well.

Bridgewater proved he was still a starting quarterback in the NFL when he went 5-0 while Brees recovered.  That earned him a new $63 million contract in Carolina and big shoes to fill.
