Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins took to Twitter on Thursday morning to announce that he was giving his entire check from this weekend’s playoff game against the Colts to the family of Jazmine Barnes. The 7-year-old girl was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting in Texas.
Not only is Hopkins donating his entire game check to the family, he’s playing the game in her honor. Good luck stopping Hopkins.
When I see Jazmine Barnes' face, I see my own daughter. I'm pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support @shaunking @SherriffED_HCSO @SylvesterTurner in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine pic.twitter.com/oCRYSgfGO9

That’s a pretty cool move by Hopkins. Not only is it helping out financially, it’s letting those who live under the NFL rock know about this tragic shooting.
