Houston Texans rookie Lonnie Johnson may have all of two NFL games under his belt, but he’s already conducting himself like a pro.

A 14-year-old boy from his hometown of Gary, Indiana tragically died in an accidental drowning, and upon hearing of the story, Johnson offered to pay for the funeral.

“I lost a lot of people close to me, so I know what it’s like to be in that position. I’ve been in that position plenty of times, so I just wanted to help out, anyway I could,” Johnson told reporters.

Johnson was drafted by the Texans early in the second round this year.
