A racist tweet sent out by Texas A&M’s freshman safety Leon O’Neal Jr. has surfaced. The tweet is from a few years ago when the 18 year old would have been in high school.
O’Neal joins a growing list of athletes who have had racist and homophobic tweets surface from their middle and high school days. It’s really not a list you want to have your name on.
The tweet is definitely not a good look, but I’m not going to sit here and say that teenagers are making the best decisions in life. Everyone is entitled to make a few mistakes and grow and learn from them.
