The recent cave rescue involving a boys soccer team in Thailand has been an attention-grabbing story, and now it will become the synopsis of a new movie.

According to the the Holllywood reporter, the story will become a movie under Pure Flix Entertainment, which is the faith-based production company behind the “God’s Not Dead” film franchise.

Michael Scott, the CEO, and co-founder of Pure Flix Entertainment, lives in Thailand part-time and was at the scene of the rescue and witnessed everything first hand.

He said, “The bravery and heroism I’ve witnessed is incredibly inspiring, so, yes, this will be a movie for us. It’s not necessary to make this a Christian film, just an inspirational one.”

Scott said he has already spoken with some of the 90 divers that were involved in the rescue mission, and they’re all on board. Crazy the kids are barely dry and they’re already trying to profit off their story.
