While Ezekiel Elliott plays golf in Mexico, the Cowboys have finally offered their running back a decent contract.
According to Ed Werder of ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys may have made a new offer to the superstar running back, which would make him one of the top two paid running backs in the NFL.
In a tweet, Werder said it likely suggests the team is “offering more than LeVeon Bell and less than Todd Gurley.” Werder did not provide details on numbers.
Last year, Gurley signed a deal with the Los Angeles Rams totaling four years for $57.5 million, $45 million is guaranteed. Bell’s deal he recently signed with the New York Jets is four years $52.5 million but only $27 million guaranteed.
