Back in 2016, Michael Thomas was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the second round (47th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was the sixth wide receiver to be selected that year.

Now he’s turned out to be one of the best receivers in the NFL.

Last night during this year’s draft, the Saints superstar posted a throwback pic from draft night.

The Saints responded:

He also reeled off a lot of stats, proving that draft night isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.

3 yrs later I’m alright tho…. – 1st All Time In Receptions Through 3 Seasons -Most Receptions In First 40 Games-Most Receiving Yards By A Saints Player In A Regular Season Game & In A Playoff Game-Most Receptions By A Saints Player In A Regular Season Game-Most Receptions By A Saints Wide Receiver In A Playoff Game-Two Highest Single Season Receptions Totals In Saints History -Tied Single Season NFL Record For Most Receptions Against One Team -Only Player Ever With 300 Catches And 3,000 Yards In First 3 Seasons. -2017 and 2018 Pro Bowl, 2018 1st Team All Pro. -Most Single Season Receiving Yards By A Saints Player -First Player In Nearly 30 Years With 1,000 Receiving Yards And Catch Rate Over 80% #nfldraft #TMC

Let’s hope the Saints decide to pay the man like he’s the #1 overall pick.

He’s been nothing short of a steal since draft night. .

Thomas, a second-round pick in 2016, is entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2019.

Thomas is going to break the bank at some point in the next 11 months.
