Tony Stewart hasn’t run a Cup-level NASCAR race in a year and a half, but he hinted on Thursday that he’d love to return to his own racing roots and run the Indianapolis 500 again, perhaps as soon as next year.
He did say that he wouldn’t want to be a distraction, or a sideshow like Danica Patrick. Ouch.

Of course Dan Fans (Danica’s fans) weren’t having it, as they responded by defending their favorite driver who’s never won a race. Of course there’s not a ton of Dan fans out there.
