After having a rough start to the 2019/20 campaign, Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to strengthen up the team. For this special we teamed up with FootballPredictions.com.

Having conceded lots of goals this season so far, Mauricio Pochettino wants to improve his backline with the potential signing of West Bromwich Albion right-back Nathan Ferguson, which is according to a report coming from The Sun.

The North Londoners’ season has been in shambles as they struggled to find a draw against Watford in their last League game. With changes need to be made, the Spurs will be looking to spend cash in the coming winter transfer window in January as they hope to solve their major defence problems which have plagued them this season.

Tottenham has struggled to find a replacement for Kieran Trippier, who left the club for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid last summer transfer window, and no player has been the better replacement for the English player. Thus, his position, the right-back, has been one of the major problems for the North London club.

However, Ferguson, who broke into West Brom starting team this season and he has so far put up quite an amazing display, with reports claiming he received positive reviews from the scouts while playing in the EFL Championship season.

The report further claims that the Spurs are preparing to table an official £10 million to the Baggies for their youngster.

Currently, Spurs manager Pochettino looks to Serge Aurier for help at the right-back position, but the player has been known for his inconsistency and even got a red card for his foul plays. While, Kyle Walker-Peters, who also plays in that position did not seem to have caught favour in the eyes of the Argentine manager and had been tipped for a possible loan deal in January.

Should Ferguson improve a whole lot from now until January, West Bromwich Albion will be expecting a sum higher than £10 million the Spurs will be offering and the better for them will be to make an early move on the player before the new year arrives.

After their 1-1 draw against Watford on Saturday, Tottenham are currently sitting at the 7th spot on the Premier League table with 12 points in nine games played. Several experts in Premier League tips and predictions noticed Tottenham would have a hard time this season when they decided not to sign any new players.
