An old NFL Draft take was brought back to light Monday morning as former LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu responded to a draft night take in 2013 from former Colts general manager Bill Polian.

When pressed by ESPN host Trey Wingo for more on the Heisman Trophy finalist from LSU, Polian doubled down on his stance on “the Honey Badger” as he would have taken him off his team’s board completely following his checkered history with drug tests in Baton Rouge that led to him being dismissed before the 2012 season.

Now Mathieu, a Super Bowl Champion after winning this past season with the Kansas City Chiefs, was named to the NFL All-Decade Team for the 2010s alongside fellow LSU star Patrick Peterson, and has been a team captain on three different franchises.

He responded to the hot take in a very humble mature way.
