Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor landed on his left hand causing his wrist to bend awkwardly as he went down.  He was in immediate pain and left the field with his arm at his side.

Taylor’s early exit allowed Baker Mayfield to get a few more snaps than initially planned.  The injury was being classified as a left hand injury by Cleveland.

Fortunately for the Browns, Taylor was able to return to action.  If there are any lingering affects from the injury and Taylor is forced to miss time, it could mean Mayfield will get a shot at regular season action ahead of schedule.

That could be a good thing or a bad thing for Mayfield depending on how he handles it.  Expect a lot of questions about Taylor’s injury in the next few days.
