Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was on the sidelines for their College Football Playoff game loss to Clemson. While showing the highlights of the game for ESPN, John Anderson made a joke about Urban Meyer not spending time with his family.
“Look at Urban Meyer. He was going to spend time with his family, went to this game instead.”
The joke didn’t sit well with Meyer’s daughters. So they took to Twitter to respond, as did Meyer’s wife Shelley. His oldest daughter, Nicki Meyer Dennis, is married to Corey Dennis, who is on the Ohio State coaching staff.
So not only was Meyer’s family in Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl, his grand kids were as well.
