One Phillies fan  is really enjoying himself.

The Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies are currently playing in a tight World Series that has featured plenty of drama so far. That tension was broken Thursday night when a Phillies fan ran onto the field at Citizens Bank Ballpark. The Phillies fan ran on the field as the Astros led the Phillies 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning. It was terrible timing because of how big that inning was for the game. He hit the field, avoided security then attempted to climb the outfield fence to get back into the stands.

Of course there are plenty of video of the Phillies fan doing his thing.

The incident of the Phillies fan was also called on Japanese television:

Yeah, not the time or the place,  especially not during a crucial World Series game. There’s no doubt the Phillies fan is regretting his actions from jail.

Here’s your reminder: don’t run onto the field during MLB games. Or any sporting event for that matter. It’s not funny, and it’s definitely not cool.

The Astros recently lost two World Series to underdog teams from the National League East, first the Washington Nationals in 2019 and then the Atlanta Braves in 2021. It seemed as if it might happen again this year, when the Phillies, a team that won 19 fewer regular-season games, earned a split from Houston and took a 2-1 Series lead with a five-home-run barrage in Game 3 in Philadelphia.
