Villanova head coach Jay Wright threw out the first pitch at a Villanova baseball game on Wednesday evening.  The 57-year-old jogged out to the mound, toed the rubber and promptly bounced the pitch short of the plate.

Wright looked like he knew what he was doing, but almost gave the catcher some unplanned dental work.

Stick to basketball Jay.  Or next time you throw out the first pitch, walk to the front of the mound and throw a 40 foot pitch.

The pitch has a better shot of making it to the catcher and you don’t look like an idiot for bouncing the pitch.  There’s a reason there aren’t pitchers in their mid-50s.
