The NBA Finals have been consumed by the rapper who dubbed himself the “global ambassador” of the Toronto Raptors.

But we also know Drake is a fanboy of many players and teams.

Drake actually has given props to the Bay Area in some of his lyrics.

In the song, Drake pays tribute to deceased Oakland rapper Mac Dre with the line, “Rest in peace, Mac Dre, imma do it for the Bay.”

“The idea started last weekend after reading another story of Drake trolling the Warriors,” Ruiz told SFGate in an email. “Actually, I thought him wearing a Dell Curry jersey was pretty funny. Then I read a piece that said Dray and Drake had dinner. Draymond said something to the effect of Drake’s antics aka s—talking is all a part of the game.”

This was supposed to be payback on behalf of Warriors fans who were greeted by a Kawhi Leonard New Balance billboard outside Oracle Arena before Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals.

What a waste of money.
