The Warriors dynasty almost never happened. According to reports, Golden State tried to trade Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and a first-round pick to New Orleans for Chris Paul.
It was Paul who shutdown the deal by telling Golden State’s Bob Myers that he wouldn’t sign an extension with the Warriors if he was traded. CP3 was then traded to the Clippers and the rest is history.
