With the start of the NFL season coming up next week, Carrie Underwood and Joan Jett have worked on an update of the theme song and video for the league’s Sunday night games, Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.

The song, which is derived from the 1988 song I Hate Myself for Loving You from Jett and The Blackhearts, plays prior to each of the games broadcast Sundays on NBC.

‘It is her song,’ Underwood, 36, said in the clip. ‘I’ve always been a fan of Joan Jett, I will use any excuse I can to work with Joan Jett – I just hope I can keep up.’
