There’s a time and place for the bat flip. A fly ball to centerfield isn’t that time or place. Someone needs to let Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy know that.
Muncy pulled out the bat flip on Monday night against the Giants on a fly ball to the warning track in center. He flipped the bat and went right into his home run trot.

Yasiel Puig will be happy to see there is still someone in a Dodgers uniform still bat flipping on routine fly balls. Muncy needs to spend a little more time in the weight room if he hopes to avoid wasting his bat flips.
