Cape Town is the place to be for the social event of the year and one not to be missed! In keeping with tradition, Sun Met 2020 will once again be held at the Kenilworth Racecourse. The event takes place on the 1st of February and, as always,‘Africa’s Richest Race Day’ promises to delight and dazzle.

Rub shoulders with celebrities at an event that combines fashion and fabulous entertainment with exhilarating horseracing and thrilling horserace betting.

This year’s entertainment includes the likes of DJs Black Coffee, Euphonik and Da Capo. As one of the partners, HeartFM is bringing DJs Tyrone Paulsen, Codax and Vernon Carver. Other world-class acts are expected to perform.

If you’re not interested in dressing up, you do need to follow a few simple event attire rules. It’s a glamorous occasion, so no shorts, slops or sloppy jeans! Ladies are encouraged to dress smartly and elegantly – you’ll also have a better chance of winning the best-dressed competitions if you’re donning a fancy hat. Shoes with high, sharp heels aren’t recommended as the ground is uneven, and it would prove challenging to walk on the grass. Men must wear jackets and trousers with either ties or open-neck shirts. No jeans, shorts, sleeveless shirts, or open shoes are permitted.
