Bruins captain Zdeno Chara blocked a shot during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final and ended up requiring stitches.  The shot hit his exposed wrist and left him bleeding.

Chara skated off in pain and got stitched up.  He is expected to be just fine for the rest of the series.

Getting hit with a puck doesn’t feel great, even when covered up.  It causes real damage when the skin is exposed.

Chara will be fine and so will Boston.

The Bruins got off to a slow start and gave up two early goals before rattling off four of their own to take Game 1, 4-2.
