Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara took a puck to the face from point blank range during Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Boston’s captain immediately went down to the ice bleeding from his face before making his way to the locker room for stitches.

The 42-year-old would return to the game in the third period with a full protective cage, because of course he would.  He’s a hockey player.

Chara’s return wasn’t enough to stop the Blues and they added two goals in the third period to win the game 4-2 and even the Stanley Cup Final at two games apiece.
