Philadelphia 76ers owner Michael Rubin is one of the many supporters of Meek Mill’s initiative for prison reform, and recently delivered some candid thoughts on the judge responsible for Meek Mill’s sentencing in the past.

While on the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast, talked about the day Meek Mill was sentenced to 2 to 4 years by Judge Genece Brinkley in 2017.

Rubin said Brinkley was 45 minutes late and that she ignored the D.A. and Meek’s probation officer who both said he shouldn’t be put in jail. Along with that, Brinkley asked Rubin to speak about his relationship with Meek.

Rubin said:

“That whole thing was like I got hit in the head with a baseball bat. So originally, I thought it was just this crazy judge — and by the way, this woman is bats**t crazy, okay? She’s crazy as you could get.”

Rubin seems to be everywhere as of late.

The 76ers owner and Meek Mill were just featured on a segment of HBO’s Real Sports.

Now it might be time to shift his focus from prison reform to the NBA playoffs.
