Redskins fans were likely relieved when they finally were able to trade Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams to the 49ers during last month’s draft.  Players had a different take on the move.

On Thursday, during a Zoom meeting with reporters, veteran running back Adrian Peterson spoke out about the trade that landed Washington a fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft and a third-round selection in the 2021 draft.

Peterson and Williams are good friends and own a gym in Texas together.  Both men are from Houston and attended the University of Oklahoma, so it’s not too surprising that he isn’t a fan of the move.
