Everybody talks about MJ’s final shot.
It was the perfect way to end a career.
It was as if the end were supposed to happen that way for Michael Jordan.
He dribbled, nudged Utah’s Bryon Russell to the side and let the ball fly. Nothing but net. And there Jordan stood, right arm extended, for a brief second, as if to say, “This is the last you’ll see of Michael Jordan, basketball player.”
Rarely do they mention “the strip.” If Jordan hadn’t caught Karl Malone napping for that brief second and slapped the ball away from him, the Bulls wouldn’t have had that game-winning shot.
Even Karl Malone doesn’t why talk about the strip.
An interview from last year has surfaced, and Karl didn’t want any of the strip talk.
