Alistair Overeem defeated fellow heavyweight Walt Harris in the second-round of the Main Event at UFC Fight Night 176 in Jacksonville on Saturday night. It was Harris’ first fight since the murder of his 19-year-old step-daughter Aniah.
Harris fought hard and came close to earning a knockout of his own in the first-round. He dropped Overeem but couldn’t finish him.
Overeem bounced back in the second-round and landed a big time head kick that was the beginning of the end for Harris. After the fight Overeem consoled the defeated Harris.
