Former Cowboys head coach Barry Switzer recalled the phone call he received from Jerry Jones 25 years ago to ask him if he wanted to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
Twenty Five years ago tomorrow Jerry Jones called me and asked did I want to coach the @dallascowboys! Told him “didn’t know job was open, call me when it was”. Called next day said come to Dallas! @OU_Football

Things started to get a little weird when reporter Tim Cowlishaw replied to the tweet. He said that he and fellow reporter Ed Werder didn’t believe the news that Switzer had been hired when they heard it.
Switzer replied to the that tweet by saying the two were fair in their coverage of the Cowboys and he only had to “eat Ed’s ass out one time.”

Who knew that was going down in Dallas 25 years ago? Obviously Switzer means he chewed him out verbally, but it’s still funny to read. These kinds of tweets are why people hire professionals to handle their social media.
