A wild scene unfolded in the Venezuelan Baseball League after a pitch went sailing behind a batter in a 13-1 game.
In the 8th inning of the blowout a pitch from Caribes Anzoátegui right-hander Angel Nesbitt went flying to the backstop behind Águilas del Zulia outfielder Alex Romero.

Romero responded to the pitch by immediately hitting the catcher in the back multiple times with his bat. That led to a wild bench clearing brawl.
