Things got a little heated in Cincinnati on Saturday.  Cubs reliever Pedro Strop hit Reds rightfielder Yasiel Puig in the leg with a 3-0 fastball.

That didn’t sit well with Puig and the two exchanged words before the benches cleared.  After a brief discussion the matter was settled without any fists flying.

From the looks of it Puig wanted to make scene, but he didn’t really want any of Strop.  It would have been interesting to see if he made it out to the mound if a smaller man had thrown the pitch.

We’ll never know now.  What we do know is he didn’t want any of the buff Cubs reliever.
