British boxer Amir Khan would welcome a future fight with former UFC ‘champ champ’ Conor McGregor, saying that the potential fight between the two prizefighters would be ‘great business’ for both.

Khan takes on Terence Crawford in Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, but  after that, he’s open to  fighting McGregor.

“I mean it’s business, isn’t it?” Khan explained. “We’re at a level now where it makes great business like Floyd Mayweather. We all learned from Floyd Mayweather – how he makes fights happen.”

Conor McGregor vs Amir Khan would be a massive fight. It’d be huge, you’ve got Irish vs English so that’ll be massive.”If that happens, I’m not one to turn away from that.”

McGregor has traded UFC’s Octagon for a boxing ring on one occasion in the past where he was defeated by Floyd Mayweather in the tenth round of their August 2016 boxing match.

I personally don’t want to see any boxers fights MMA guys.

That being said, a good fight is a good fight, as long as you can find one.

McGregor recently announced his retirement from mixed martial arts, though he appears to have walked back that statement on social media on several occasions since.

McGregor will fight just about anyone for the right amount of money.
