Bryce Harper finally hit his first home run as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday afternoon.  It doesn’t actually count, but it’s the first of what fans hope is many over the next 13 years.

One spring training homer and the $330 million was all worth it.  It will be fun to watch the folks in Philly when Harper hits in the low .200s and is struggling, as he did for large chunks of the year last season.

Pay a man that kind of money and he can’t even figure out how to get a hit when the other team has the shift on.  Good luck winning anything with his occasional home runs.
