Shortly after the first round of the draft ended on Thursday night, Chiefs General Manager Brett Beach announced that the team has suspended receiver Tyreek Hill from all team activities.

The team was of course, responding to the audio of Hill and his fiancee Crystal Espinal that was released shortly before the draft started.

Beach said the team was distrubed by what they heard on the recording and will investigate the situation before making a decision on how to move forward.

Whether or not Hill is released by the Chiefs is anyone’s guess.  There’s definitely enough smoke here to release him, if the child’s welfare was actually their number one concern.

It would seem that this audio, coupled with the child abuse investigation, would be enough for the NFL to take action no matter what Kansas City decides to do.  But they aren’t exactly the most consistent organization when it comes to disciplining their players.

The worst part is that the child was clearly abused and there was nothing done about it up to this point.
