Everyone definitely remembers 2017’s incredible bout between two of the biggest fighting competitors in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr., one of the world’s biggest champions in boxing with a 50-0 record, and Conor McGregor, the undisputed king of the MMA scene. The fight between the two shook the world, having one of the biggest fighters of one sport compete against the biggest fighter of another sport, the probability of who would win was all over the place. Noone knew what to expect. It was one of the biggest and most eagerly awaited fights in history. Also known as ‘The Money Fight’, the match took place on august 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The professional boxing match was won by Floyd by TKO (technical knockout) in the 10th round. The game had earned the winner 100 million dollars while the loser earned 30 million. So in a way, they both have won out of the game, big time. The game was scheduled for 12 rounds. It was so famous that it had recorded the second highest pay-per-view buy rate in history.
In a recent interview with Tony Robbins, Conor stated that he would like to rematch him under boxing rules again, and he said that he knows that if they do fight again, he would win. While Floyd, also said that he will be returning this year, even though he had retired for the third time last year, aged 41, for an incredible fight that will be even bigger than his last one.
Conor also stated that in their first fight, he was clearly dominating Floyd, “I went well into the fight in the early rounds and I was whooping him, after round one I went back to the corner and said, This is easy! .. and then he had to change his fighting style.
Conor really did excel in the early rounds, as the original scoreboard indicates;
