WWE’s “Friday Night Smackdown” is going to rock this week.

Professional wrestler turned movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced he will be returning to his roots and appear on Friday’s Fox premiere of the hit program.

The wrestler turned movie star hasn’t appeared on the show in six years or on WWE programming since April 2016, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Johnson announced that he “quietly retired from wrestling” during an interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” in August, so it isn’t clear exactly what kind of role he will have on Friday.
